Electronic Merchant Services

Electronic Ticket Capture (ETC)
The ETC is a credit/debit card service that allows customers to “swipe” cards through a magnetic strip reader. Considered the traditional method of credit card processing, ETC transactions are authorized, batched, and submitted via a terminal attached to a phone line in your business setting. Transactions are submitted to the bank for deposit within 24-48 hours. ETC benefits include:
- Reduced risk of fraud
- Reduced risk of charge backs
- Lower processing costs.

Personal Ticket Capture@ (PTC)
PTC technology is an easy-to-use IBM compatible software product which allows single or batch entry transactions. The PTC program is easy to learn and implement and use.

Touchtone Processing
The only equipment you’ll need for Touchtone Processing is your touch-tone telephone and a card imprinter! Access to Touchtone Processing is as simple as keying in the data on your existing touch-tone telephone. By entering your data, you get immediate authorizations and have your approved card transactions processed at the same time.

Other processing software
Jefferson Bank also has the ability to integrate your merchant processing into specialized cash registers or other processing software. If you have internet capability, we can establish the gateway to authorize and settle your electronic transactions.

Pricing is based upon your individual business profile. Rates are based on number of transactions and dollar volume.



Next Day Service
ACH deposit allows you to receive MasterCard and Visa deposits the next business day without physically visiting the bank.

Equipment
Equipment needed depends on the type of processing system you choose. The Merchant Services Center has the necessary equipment you’ll need to get started. In addition to MasterCard and Visa, other cards processed through the terminal include: Discover, American Express, Diner’s Club and others.

Set-Up
You can get set-up either on-site or via mail. New terminals are programmed prior to their installation, which will get you online as quickly as possible.

Training
One-on-one training by our Merchant Services Personnel will be provided to you and your staff. A Quick Reference Card and Terminal Overlay is provided with each terminal for reference. Each site comes complete with appropriate signage, decals and promotional materials.
