National Financial Capability Challenge
A small percentage of schools take part in the National Financial Capability Challenge, a program designed to help kids learn about managing money. Areas of focus include spending, borrowing, income, and avoid risks like scams and identity theft.
The odds are schools in your area are not participating, though, but you can still take advantage of the program. Ask your school to sign up for the program; it’s free. You could even volunteer to help teach the class if you like. Go to www.challenge.treas.gov for more details.
