Jefferson Bank has partnered with Zelle to give you a safe and easy way to send money to friends and family. Split the lunch tab with a coworker, send a sibling your share of your parent’s anniversary present, or even send your child emergency gas money. Jefferson Bank and Zelle make sending and receiving money easy, and it works for almost anyone with a bank account in the U.S.

Money moves directly from account to account with no stops in between, so you won’t be left wondering where your money is. Zelle is only available for personal accounts.

  1. Open Zelle in the Jefferson Bank App or Online Banking.
  2. Follow the simple steps to enroll with Zelle.
  3. Enter the email address or U.S. mobile number for the recipient of the money.
  4. Enter the amount and hit “Send”.
  5. Track your payments in the Jefferson Bank App or Online Banking!

Jefferson Bank Together with Zelle® FAQs

Zelle is an easy way to send money directly to those you know and trust. Money can be sent to almost any bank accounts in the U.S. typically within minutes1. With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can quickly, safely, and easily send and receive money with friends, family, and coworkers, regardless of where they bank1.

You can enroll with Zelle by logging into your Jefferson Bank App and selecting Zelle from the menu.

Sending money to family, friends, or others you trust is easy. Simply log into the Jefferson Bank App with your current user ID and password, select Send Money with Zelle® from the Menu. Simply select someone from your mobile device’s contacts (or add a trusted recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile phone number), add the amount you’d like to send and an optional memo, review, then hit “Send.” In most cases, the money is available to your recipient in minutes1.

Since money is sent directly from your bank account to another person’s bank account within minutes1, it’s important to only send money to people you trust, and always ensure you’ve used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number2.

To receive money, just share your enrolled email address or U.S. mobile phone number with a friend and ask them to send you money with Zelle. Money sent to you will move directly into your account.

Zelle is a fast, safe, and easy way to send and receive money right in the Jefferson Bank App. This is a great alternative to sending checks or cash to friends, family members, or co-workers.

We do not charge a fee to use Zelle in the Jefferson Bank App. We do not charge a fee to receive money or take a percentage of the funds.

Money sent and received by enrolled users is typically available within minutes.1

If the person you’re sending money to has not enrolled with Zelle previously, they will receive an email or text letting them know that they have money waiting. They’ll be guided through a few steps to help them enroll.

With the integration of Zelle into the Jefferson Bank App, you’re protected by the same security as your other accounts with us. We’ll keep your information safe and expect you to send funds to only those you know and trust using Zelle.

Zelle is a great way to send money to family, friends, and people you are familiar with such as your personal trainer, babysitter, or neighbor2. Since money is sent directly from your bank account to another person’s bank account within minutes1, Zelle should only be used to send money to friends, family or others you trust. Neither Zelle or Central Bancompany offers offer a protection program for any authorized payments made with Zelle – for example, if you make a purchase using Zelle but you do not receive the item or the item is not as described or as you expected.
