1. Be Prepared for the Day

If you wait to plan out your day the morning of, you may deal with stress and anxiety. Instead, try planning your day the night before, such as making your lunch to avoid eating out and even planning your outfit! By doing this, you will feel refreshed, organized, and ready to conquer your day!

2. Get Up Early

Rise and shine! Get a head start to your day by waking up early. Open your blinds and let the sunshine in! Those who start their day early tend to be energetic and motivated throughout their day. Waking up early can reduce your stress levels, give you more time to relax and improve your cognitive function.


3. Don’t Snooze Your Alarm

We all know that distinct alarm sound you hate hearing go off every morning but hitting the snooze button to get ten more minutes of sleep is never a good idea. Improve your physical and emotional well-being by getting out of bed as soon as your alarm goes off.

4. Avoid Checking your Phone

It might be a habit for you to check your phone as soon as you wake up. You want to look at the new social media notifications, messages and emails you received since you were last on your phone. As these notifications might be important, avoid the unhealthy habit of mindlessly scrolling on social media as it can cause self-criticism. Instead, do things away from your phone such as reading your favorite book, journaling your thoughts, meditating, or exercising. These activities will positively jump-start your brain and come with added health benefits.

Did you know hydrating every morning can help avoid headaches, fatigue, and dark eye circles? Drinking a glass of water shortly after you wake up will help your body function better. In addition, having a morning glass of water can increase your energy, fight toxins, and boost metabolism.

6. Fuel Your Body

Eating a healthy breakfast before you start your day will fuel your body. Satisfy your brain and your stomach with healthy foods such as nuts, fruits, oats, and eggs. Try to stay away from sugary foods such as donuts, pancakes, muffins, and pastries. Consider making a grocery list to plan out your healthy breakfasts, and keep your eyes peeled for any coupons to save money while eating healthy.

7. A Cup of Coffee

After drinking your morning water, it is okay to have a cup of coffee or two. Coffee can increase your energy and put you in a better mood. Although, try not to have more than two cups of coffee every morning in order to prevent caffeine withdrawals and headaches.
